2400

tons of CO2 emissions

That's how much we can save.

We'll assume an average Tesla battery size of 80 kWh (based on popular models). Using industry estimates from MIT, producing a new Tesla battery can have a carbon footprint of up to 16 tons of CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent). Approximating 150 batteries reconditioned per year (or 3 batteries per week), Batter-Re has the potential to avoid 2400 tons of CO2 emissions per year by preventing the production of new batteries. This is a significant positive impact, equivalent to planting roughly 192,000 trees that would absorb CO2 over their lifetime or the annual energy consumption of 1,163 American homes. Imagine powering over a thousand homes with renewable energy instead of fossil fuels!
